Newcastle Airport CEO resigns

Mr Paul Hughes today announced his resignation as Chief Executive Officer of Newcastle Airport Pty Limited, effective March 2015.

“It has been a career highlight to lead Newcastle Airport through its most significant period of 
growth,” said Mr Hughes.

“In the next 12 months, the full terminal redevelopment will be complete and Newcastle 
Airport will be firmly positioned for future domestic growth and the commencement of international services.

“The future is bright for Newcastle Airport. The Airport’s Master Plan clearly outlines the next 
steps in the precinct’s development. This is an exciting time to hand over the reins and I am confident that the next CEO will continue to deliver exceptional results to our community.”
Newcastle Airport Pty Limited Chairman Mr Peter Gesling thanked Mr Hughes for his 10-year tenure with the company.

“As CEO, Paul has lead Newcastle Airport through one of its most rapid growth periods in its 
65-year history, welcoming record months and years, as well as overseeing major projectsand developments,” Mr Gesling said.

Mr Hughes said that he was proud of his achievements of the past 10 years and will continue to work to deliver results until March.

“Over the next three months there is still much to be achieved but, I will also spend that time personally thanking all those who have provided wonderful support for the Airport and myself during the past 10 years,” concluded Mr Hughes.

The Company will initiate a search for a replacement Chief Executive Officer.
