What are the arrangements for disabled parking?
Newcastle Airport has accessible car parking spaces available in all of the car parks. All pathways leading to the car parks are compliant with Australian accessibility standards ensuring ease of access for all users.
Newcastle Airport has also created a specific drop-off and pick-up zone for persons with a disability. This zone is located outside the arrivals door at the eastern end (arrivals end) of the building.
Due to security regulations, cars are unable to be left unattended in this area. It is suggested that if you are picking up a passenger who has a disability, it is best to park in the Gold Car Park while you locate your passenger, and direct then to the pick-up zone, where you can then pick them up from.
