The Opportunity

Working with a business that is highly visible on the Newcastle/ Hunter stage, this position will report directly into the Property and Commercial Executive Manager.

The position will work with a range of key stakeholders and has the responsibility of overseeing and delivering complex development projects, which align with the businesses vision and strategy.

The role leads projects through the full development project lifecycle, including development briefs, planning, development, financial control, and operational guidance.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage key stakeholder relationships with government and transport related sectors.
  • Identify and negotiate leasing and property development partnerships to support development and business opportunities.
  • Manage property development initiatives focused on development opportunities and land acquisition.
  • Negotiate and execute leasing and property development agreements with partners, tenants, contractors, and service providers.
  • Establish new commercial revenue streams within leasing and property development projects.
  • Manage the implementation and delivery of land and business park expansion projects, and any associated due diligence.
  • Manage the new leasing and property portfolio, whilst also capitalising on delivering new commercial outcomes.  
  • Manage and execute the overall delivery of the business plan and strategy objectives.

The Successful Candidate

  • Previous experience in high end property development and leasing.
  • Tertiary business qualifications
  • MUST have previous experience within a multi-use commercial strata environment connected to a business hub.
  • Proven ability to identify, develop and present commercially viable business cases.
  • Previous experience in business development strategies and processes
  • Proven experience in successfully negotiating and influencing with key stakeholders at a senior level.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant Local, State and Federal legislation.
