October 2016 saw the Airport record its best monthly passenger throughput ever. The record-breaking month also helped the Airport hit another major milestone of 1.2 million passengers for a rolling 12 month period. This was helped by FlyPelican commencing services in and out of Coffs Harbour this month. The blended average load factor for the major airlines for October was 80%.

Year-on-year performance for all airlines and all destinations across the financial year increased 5%. A strong summer forecast is supported by the additional capacity entering the market in the second half of the year by Virgin Australia, QantasLink, and FlyPelican.
