In accordance with the Constitution and Partnership Deed, the Board of Newcastle Airport Pty Limited comprises of up to ten non-executive directors. The selection process for the Board of Directors aims to provide an appropriate mix of skills and expertise. 

Kirby Clark, Chair

Kirby joins the Board with almost 15 years’ experience as Deputy CEO and CFO at Melbourne Airport. While in this role he was involved in major aeronautical investments worth more than $1 billion, has served on the board of directors at Launceston Airport, and is currently the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee at Eastern Health in Victoria.

Wayne Wallis, Director

Wayne boasts more than 30 years’ experience in executive roles across local governments in Queensland and Victoria. He was named General Manager of Port Stephens Council in 2014. In leading the organisation, Wayne has established a clear direction for the organisation which is to be known for its excellence in service delivery and strong customer focus.

Cam Macphee, Director

Cam brings extensive aviation, transport, and aerospace experience to the Board. He recently has consulted to the aviation, tourism, and engineering sector. Prior to this, he held the role of General Manager Aviation Business Development at Brisbane Airport for more than a decade. Cam is highly regarded within the aviation industry and is a respected business leader.

Jude Munro AO, Director

Jude brings a wealth of aviation experience to the Board. Amongst many board-level appointments, she has worked closely with Brisbane, Adelaide, and Sunshine Coast airports in strategic and infrastructure planning, plus stakeholder management. In her most recent CEO position at Brisbane City Council she led 9,000 employees and managed a $2.6 billion budget.

Jeremy Bath, Director

Jeremy Bath began as CEO of Newcastle City Council in May 2017, embracing the opportunity to lead Council at a time when the City is undergoing an exciting revitalisation with a $650 million urban transformation and transport program. He has the breadth of experience across the private sector as well as in local, state and federal governments. Jeremy has worked in senior roles encompassing public affairs at ClubsNSW, government relations at the Hunter Water Corporation where he also served as interim CEO, and with international political and corporate strategists Crosby Textor.

Morgan Parker, Director

Morgan Parker's career as an institutional real estate investor, developer and banker at some of the world's most successful firms over 25 years. In his most recent executive roles as Chief Operating Officer a the US$35 billion Dubai Holding, Mr Parker was responsible for leading the most significant business initiative, the creation of Dubai's new 400-acre city centre. Mr Parker's experience, reputation and thought-leadership has made him one of the most recognized real estate executives of his generation.                               . 

Nuatali Nelmes, Director

Nuatali Nelmes, Lord Mayor of Newcastle was elected in 2014 after serving as Councillor on City of Newcastle for six years. After studying a Bachelor of Business with a double major in industrial relations/human resource  management and marketing from the University of Newcastle. Nuatali brings extensive knowledge of Newcastle and a passion for celebrating Newcastle's natural and cultural heritage. 

Ryan Palmer, Director

Ryan Palmer was elected Mayor of Port Stephens in 2017 after an extensive record of community activism. Ryan was previously President of the Tomaree Business Chamber and has worked in the finance sector for Nelson and Salamander Bays' Greater Bank. Ryan holds a strong passion about the Port Stephens area.

Samantha Martin-Williams, Director

Samantha's career spans more than 25 years of diverse experience in highly regulated industries including logistics and supply chain, financial services, education and health. Sam is a former Telstra Business Woman of the Year and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Sam serves on the Supply Chian and Logistics Association fo Australia Advisory Board, the Salvation Army Advisory Board, is a University of Newcastle conjoint lecturer of Law and business and a member of the MBA Advisory Board at the University of Newcastle Business School. 

Peter Gesling, Board Ambassador and Corporate Mentor

Peter has had an accomplished 21-year career in local government where he served as General Manager of Port Stephens Council for 16 years. He also serves on a number of boards across local government, lifestyle, aviation, and, tourism industries.
