Newcastle Airport is a vibrant and friendly workplace. Our corporate offices are in the heart of the aviation activity, located next to our busy operations centre within the terminal building.

We have a team of approximately 60 staff working directly for Newcastle Airport. This might seem surprisingly small, particularly when the Airport is one of the Hunter region’s largest infrastructure assets.

Marketing and Communications Manager

The Marketing and Communications Manager is responsible for managing external and internal communications for the company. A senior team member, they ensure NAPL effectively engages with key stakeholders (including media, community, local businesses etc.) and oversee strategic marketing and communications plans to achieve business targets.

Procurement and Contracts Manager

This position is in the newly created Planning and Infrastructure team and will report to the Executive Manager Planning and Infrastructure. The primary focus of this role will be the Astra Aerolab Business Technology Park. In this role you will have the ability to act and think strategically and develop procedures within the contracts life-cycle.

Planning Manager

This position is in the newly created Planning and Infrastructure team and will report to the Executive Manager Planning and Infrastructure. The primary focus of this role will be the Astra Aerolab Business Technology Park. You will oversee front end of projects, up to and including design management, scheduling, master-planning and Airport Coordination, within time-frames and budget allocations and to necessary building and safety legislation.

Superintendent

The role of Superintendent is to oversee the construction process and is responsible for overall construction activities within the established design, budget and scheduling guidelines. You will be responsible for the management and delivery of the onsite infrastructure including civil works, building works and utilities installations. The role will also support the Facility Manager by expediting works within the Airport Terminal from time to time.

Executive Assistant

The role of the Executive Assistant is responsible for the smooth operation of the office of the CEO and to support the Strategy and Advocacy Manager. This position provides high-level executive support with extensive travel obligations, administrative support to the Board and day-to-day office management. This role will assist the Strategy and Advocacy Manager to manage communications and implement strategies to support the achievement of the organisation’s strategic and operational objectives.

The role of the Finance Business Partner is to provide high quality management and statutory reporting, undertake financial forecasting and analysis, participate in the development and implementation of strategic business initiatives and assist in the management of financial systems for the benefit of the broader business.
