Accessible parking

Newcastle Airport has accessible car parking spaces for persons with a disability in the Premium, Short Stay, and Long Stay car parks. All pathways leading to the terminal from the Premium, Short Stay and Long Stay car parks comply with Australian accessibility standards ensuring ease of access for all users.

Drop-off and pick-up areas are available in the Short Stay 1 Car Park (opposite the front of the terminal). Persons with a valid Disabled Parking Permit can park in Short Stay 1 for 15 minutes free of charge to drop off or pick up a passenger with a disability. If you are using this service, please let one of our Newcastle Airport Customer Experience and Airport Operations staff know and they will provide assistance.

Due to security regulations, cars are unable to be left unattended in this area, so it is suggested that if you are picking up a passenger with a disability, it is best to park in the Short Stay 1 Car Park, locate your passenger and direct them to the pick-up zone.
