Airport information update: car park works to meet Airport growth

Works began in early February on car park improvements at Newcastle Airport to continue to serve passenger needs on the back of continual growth and a record-breaking 2017.
Newcastle Airport is providing dual exit points from its Short Stay 1 car park facility.  The improvements will reduce congestion and ensure the smooth exit of vehicles during peak periods.
In 2017, Newcastle Airport welcomed a record 1.276 million passengers. On the weekend of Newcastle Supercars last November, more than 21,000 people travelled in and out of the Airport.  With a new direct route to Adelaide starting in March and the terminal international-ready, Newcastle Airport is planning to meet further growth and use of its facilities.
Construction works will affect a small section of the Short Stay 1 car park located in front of the terminal and is expected to take two months.

Short Stay Car Park 2 remains unaffected by the construction works and is a good alternative to Short Stay 1.
Newcastle Airport currently has over 2,000 parking bays for the use and convenience of visitors.
Visit newcastleairport.com.au for further information on transport choices and on-site car parking options, including an online car parking calculator, giving passengers the information they need to make the best choice for individual travel needs and budget.
Committed to delivering the airport the region deserves, Newcastle Airport is continually working to improve customer experience and convenience.  Thank you for your patience while we grow.
