We could not ask for a more dedicated and experienced group of people to represent Newcastle Airport and the Greater Hunter Region.

- Dr Peter Cock, CEO

Our Newcastle Airport Ambassador Program commenced on 16 May 2008.

Recognised by their distinctive teal blazers, for the past 16 years our friendly team of volunteer Ambassadors have been providing support and a helping hand to our passengers.

Designed to enhance the customer service experience at our airport, the award-winning program today has 20 Ambassadors who share three volunteer shifts each day.

The Newcastle Airport Ambassador program started with three enthusiastic volunteers welcoming passengers and championing local tourism. Since then, the Ambassadors have collectively donated tens-of-thousands of hours to meet-and-greet and give advice to millions of visitors at Newcastle Airport.

Our friendly Ambassadors will be here to help you on your next visit to our airport.

Interested in becoming a volunteer Ambassador?

We are always on the lookout for new Ambassadors to join the team at Newcastle Airport. If you are passionate about excellent customer service, and have great communication skills and a friendly nature, we would love to hear from you!

You will be joining a friendly and social team in a healthy and safe environment with access to free parking, a uniform, and a staff room with tea and coffee facilities. Volunteers also enjoy activities and outings together outside of Ambassador duties.

If successful, Ambassadors will need to complete a three-day induction and orientation program prior to commencing in the role. The Ambassador roster is available seven days a week, including public holidays, and shifts can be negotiated.

Express your interest by completing the Ambassador Application Form and sending to [email protected].
