Travel from Newcastle Airport for business has one huge advantage - that is you can travel to a business meeting and back in a day. That’s right, once you arrive back in Newcastle, collect your bag from the carousel and walk to your car, you have a short commute before you’re relaxing at home with your feet up. You can be home in time for dinner.

Newcastle Airport offers frequent direct flights to key business destinations including Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra, Adelaide, Sydney and the Gold Coast. You might be surprised at the frequency of direct flights which are serviced by multiple airlines including Qantas, Virgin Australia, Jetstar, FlyPelican and Link Airways.

Did you know that you can fly to Brisbane up to 11 times a day and you can fly to Melbourne up to five times a day? And from 31 October, Qantas will increase their flights to Adelaide from four to five days a week.

Designed with sustainability in mind, it offers six Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations for passengers to use, and the roof of the new car park supports a large bank of solar panels designed to provide more than 30% of the airport’s power needs.

Relax while you work

Our departures lounge offers a variety of spaces to relax and answer emails while waiting for your flight. From solo workstations with your own desk and charging points to large tables for team collaboration, again with multiple charging points.

There are lounges with coffee tables perfect for a business meeting, and tables for working while you grab a bite to eat. A crowd favourite are the window seats overlooking the airfield so you can enjoy multiple aircraft coming and going, including the F-35A Lightning II fighter jets taking-off from RAAF Base Williamtown.
