Newcastle Airport will play host to an elite delegation of women business leaders on Tuesday 2 June.

The tour group, which has been organised by The Trans Tasman Business Circle, will visit business leaders and key organisations across the breadth of the Hunter. It comes after a hugely successful  tour to the Silicon Valley in 2019

The delegation is led by Naomi Simson, Director of Big Red Group and includes a number of high profile business leaders from across Australia and New Zealand.

Other prominent delegates include Marianne Perkovick, Executive General Manager, Commonwealth Private (Bank) and Janice Law, General Manage Services Australia (Please see full list of attendees here [link to list].)

On Tuesday, the group will be provided a tour of Astra Aerolab – the site of Australia’s pre-eminent Defence, Aerospace and innovation precinct.

They will also hear a from Airport CEO, Dr Peter Cock and Executive Manager Operations and Compliance, Melissa Rowe who will discuss the airport’s response to the COVID 19 pandemic and the organisation’s key role in the future of the region’s growth.

About the delegation

The Trans-Tasman Business Circle connects leading executives in the business and government sectors via dialogues and study tours designed to help them create partnerships and strategic growth.

This year’s tour, led by Naomi Simson and sponsored by Cap Gemini and Zoom, includes visits to: AGL, Ampcontrol, City of Newcastle, Committee for the Hunter, Dantia, Melt Accelerator, NCIG, Newcastle Airport, nib, Port of Newcastle, and University of Newcastle.

There will also be a range of international speakers and presentations with leaders in the Silicon Valley.
