Newcastle Airport aims to banish the stress for travellers this Easter, with shorter queues, more car parks and staff dedicated to making sure holiday-makers get off to a flying start.

Executive Manager of Corporate Affairs, Stephen Crowe, said the Airport is also offering more destinations than ever before.

“Newcastle Airport is well and truly on the road to recovery. In terms of the number of seats coming in and out of Williamtown, this is equal to our most successful April ever and I’ve no doubt the best is yet to come for our region.

“We’re also offering more flights more often, which is what our region deserves,” he said.

“After a hugely successful launch, Qantas’ new Adelaide service has been very well-patronised by our community. Jetstar will start a second season to Cairns from late June, and Bonza is just around the corner, taking our region to Sunshine Coast and the Whitsundays by mid-year.”

Mr Crowe said that Newcastle Airport is an easy alternative to the state’s busier airports.

“Travelling at holiday time can be hectic, especially after the two years we’ve just had. We’re committed to providing as stress-free an experience as we can.

“Moving through our security screening takes just minutes - not hours, we have 2,366 car parks all well within 10 minutes from the terminal, and plenty of space to grab some local food and drinks, sit back and relax before flying,” he said.
